CONTEST OVERVIEW

The What Works for Business Contest is designed to help shift the focus from what’s wrong with the economy to what businesses can actually do to survive and thrive in 2009. Business.com wants to reward businesses showing ingenuity and resourcefulness during these uncertain times.  We also want to share business solutions that have worked for others with businesses who are struggling to find answers to tough questions.

Here's how the contest works:
Eligible participants visit
http://whatworks.business.com and submit a brief description of a business challenge they have faced and how they solved it.  See examples of contest submissions here.

In early December, an expert panel of judges will narrow down the field to 50 finalists. Then, winners will be determined by popular vote on this website and announced in early January.

Ten businesses will win nearly $30,000 in cash and prizes. One grand prize winner will receive $10,000 to help their bottom line in 2009. All winning businesses will be featured in a national, year-long publicity campaign related to the contest.
